In order to be eligible for membership you must fall into one of three categories. You must:
- Be employed by one of our Select Employee Groups, click the link to see if your employer is on the list.
- Be an immediate family member of an already established member. For example, you would have to be the spouse, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, adopted child, step-child, step-parent or step-sibling of the member to be eligible.
- Live in the same household as an already established member. You can bring in a bill, driver's license, etc to verify your address.
In addition to being eligible for membership you will also have to open a share account, or a savings account, and deposit a minimum of $25.00. That $25.00 is YOUR share of Vision Financial Federal Credit Union! You will not be able to access those funds unless you close your account. Upon joining our Credit Union, you may remain a member as long as you like, even if your employment, marital status or residence changes. “Once a member, always a member.”
After you gain membership, your spouse, child(ren), step-child(ren), adopted child(ren), parent(s), step-parent(s), sibling(s), step-sibling(s), grandparent(s) and grandchild(ren) are all eligible for membership. Also, any widows or widowers of a Credit Union member who passed away while in the field of membership that has NOT remarried are still eligible for membership.
If your employer is not a Select Employee Group, and you are interested in joining our Credit Union, we might be able to help. By working with your employer we may be able to offer Credit Union services to you as well as your co-workers. If this is something that you may be interested in you can reach our Marketing Officer, Kristel Gregory, by calling the Main Branch, at 919-477-0696, or by email, at kgregory@vffcu.org.

Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying objects.
